I work closely with gymnasts on a regular basis...our clinic is even located within a gymnastics training center. What I can tell you is that all those painkillers are not good for your stomach, and the long periods of rest you've been told about are not likely to help. Why? Because they don't solve the MAIN PROBLEM. Painkillers and rest are "bandaids" that temporarily relieve pain. What happens when you stop doing them? The pain returns...
