We Help Gymnasts...

Who Have An Achy Back

And know they need to make changes before their problem becomes a stress fracture.

With Painful Wrists

Who want to be able to tumble and vault without hesitation and minimize the risk of stress fractures that take time away from weight-bearing on your hands.

Who've Been Told "It's Just Growing Pains"

Who know that "just waiting" for your body to grow up is NOT the answer.

With Recurring Ankle Sprains

Who want the best chance at competing the entire season without worrying what their ankle will do.

With Prior Injuries

Who still don't feel 100% with their power and balance which is keeping them from top scores.

Who Are Feeling Their Ankles Crunch

Every time they land impacting their ability to "stick it".

Who Just Can't Seem To Get That New Skill

And feel like something must be different about her body compared to her friends.

Founder of Christine Walker Physical Therapy

Christine Walker helps gymnasts get back to training and competing at the highest level...without pain, rest, or multiple trips to the doctor's office.

Christine understands that gymnast are DIFFERENT.

Very few athletes, at such a young age, train so intensely and so often. She understands that gymnasts are not "just another athlete".

Christine saw too many gymnasts be told by doctor's that "if you just stay out of the gym for a month you'll be fine" and, even worse, being told they were ready to be back in the gym only to get injured again quickly because they never fixed the real problem...after a while she knew she had to focus her private practice to serve the youth gymnast.

Located inside of a gymnastic center, Perfect Balance Training Center, Christine advises gymnasts in Charlotte, all over North Carolina, and even across the country.

As an athlete, Christine was plagued with multiple back-to-back injuries robbing her of a chance to play college soccer, so she set out to learn how to keep athletes on the field and in the game. It became her mission to keep as many youth athletes competing at the highest level in the sports they love.

She graduated with a B.A. in Exercise and Sports Science from UNC-Chapel Hill, and then completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the Medical University of South Carolina.

She is certified as a Professional Yoga Therapist through the Professional Yoga Therapy Institute. and as a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
